Amber Leung primarily photographs nature and wildlife scenes to reveal and document the surprising beauty and value in restoring local habitats. Because less than 0.1% of the coastal prairie habitat remains, Amber works with other volunteers to restore a small piece of this in Seabourne Creek Nature Park, Rosenberg, TX. A scientist as well as an artist, she began experimenting with a technique to photograph a comet. This developed into a process to use a telephoto lens and combine several hours of long exposures to create detailed images of nebulae and galaxies.
